NAISMA hosts the only conference to bridge geographic divides across North America in invasive species management. Network with natural resource managers, researchers, and leaders in the invasive species field. 

Building & Parking

CONFERENCE LOCATION

Nearly all conference events, including concurrent sessions, will be held at: Marriott Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa 17260 Harbour Pointe Drive Fort Myers, Florida 33908 #239-466-4000

PARKING

Parking at the Marriott Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa is $15 per day. If no hotel parking is available, there is on-street paid parking and public lots nearby.

EXHIBITS

Exhibits will be on display in the Palms Foyer through Thursday afternoon. Exhibitors will be available throughout the conference to answer questions about their products and services concerning invasive species prevention, identification, management, control, and restoration. Please be sure to stop by and visit!

MOTHERS’ ROOM

A private room for nursing mothers will be available. Inquire at the registration desk for the location.

Conference Hotels

REGISTRATION

Registration will be in the Palms Garden Foyer of the Marriott Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa. The registration desk will be open from 1:00 – 4:00 pm Sunday; 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday; 7:00 am – 4:00 pm Tuesday and Wednesday; and 7:00 – 10:00 am Thursday.

PRESENTATION UPLOADING

Presenters may upload their presentations up until the day before their assigned session. The presentation uploading area will be next to registration beginning Sunday at 3:00 pm and during all registration desk hours.  

Food & Meals

DIETARY NEEDS

Many complimentary meals and breaks service are provided throughout the conference. Special dietary needs must be requested in advance and are not guaranteed for on-site registrants.

BREAKFAST

Breakfast with exhibitors will be provided every day in the Palms Foyer.

LUNCH

All field trip participants will receive a box lunch and will be able to take their lunch with them on the shuttles. Box lunches will be provided to all attendees on Tuesday and Wednesday, including attendees of the Annual General Meeting.

BREAKS

Morning and afternoon breaks will include coffee and tea.

RECEPTIONS

Tuesday evening’s Welcome Reception will be held in Gardens Ballroom, adjacent to the hotel. Wednesday’s Not a Banquet will also be held in Palms Pool Deck. Both events will feature a cash bar and complimentary refreshments. Not a Banquet will include a casual dinner.

DINNER

Dinner is on your own each night with the exception of “Not a Banquet” on Wednesday (requires additional ticket). We suggest using evening meals to network and socialize with colleagues. Fort Myers boasts a vibrant dining scene with choices from upscale to craft breweries, many of which are a short Uber ride from the conference hotel.
